John is a 2002 graduate of The University of Rio Grande with a certificate in Fine Woodworking Technology.  His training has given him the ability to make furniture using both machine and hand skills.  This training and his experience have given him the knowledge of operating various types of machinery and a love for fine detail.  

John had built custom furniture on the side since 2002, but decided to go full time in 2010 and has been doing that ever since. He was the first place winner at the 2012 Woodworking Show in Columbus, Ohio for his beautiful dresser! Because of that, he was then entered into the national contest and was named the 2012 Master Craftsman and the National Winner for the ShowOff Showcase! 

John currently lives in Licking County, Ohio with his wife Lydia and 2 daughters.  John enjoys building custom furniture, restoring antiques, and refinishing and repairing furniture. Lydia plays the harp for special events and teaches piano and harp lessons.  You can visit her website here.
